My approach to teaching is about making learning possible. To eliminate barriers to student learning, my teaching practices consist of three distinctive components: (1) cultivating positive and inclusive learning environments that encourage deep approaches to studying, (2) designing constructively aligned assessment tasks and imaginative learning resources that encourage active and self-regulated learning, and (3) enabling and influencing others to improve teaching, learning and the student experience.
I hold a Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies (Higher Education) and a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). I have been actively contributing to excellence in teaching and learning at UOW in my other roles, including Head of Students (2021-2023), CPD Portfolio Reviewer (2021-present), and UOW Accredited Reviewer (2021-present).
